Schizophrenia is a brain disorder which is quite misunderstood. Many people think it resembles split personality, which is not the case. This is a psychotic disorder, which is far from mood disorders as well. Psychotic disorders generally relate to loss of connection from the reality. In schizophrenia, a person loses the ability to differentiate between real and imaginary things, objects, occurrences and even people. Due to the unusual behavior, a schizophrenic can be identified without tedious effort, yet there are some schizophrenia tests which enable detection of the disease in a person. This test can be a questionnaire which can be provided with answers by the suspected victim, either in simple Yes or No, and with some explanation. Or one of the family members or friends of the victim can track the behavior of the person and check the items on the list of symptoms which hold true in the case of those people.
