COPING WITH BULIMIA

When John Prescott, the former Deputy Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, came out into the open with his battle with bulimia, it shocked the world. Eating disorders like bulimia are generally associated with women, especially teenagers and celebrities (women who are forced by external factors like peer pressure or occupational hazards to fit the image of 'looking good'). His confession proved to the world that bulimia and other eating disorders may not longer be simply the domain of the women; with men soon joining the ranks.
Coping With Bulimia
Coping with bulimia is an ongoing process and cannot be achieved in a short period. Patience is a virtue that must be applied to cases of bulimia. Eating disorders sometimes may take years to overcome. The earlier bulimia is pinpointed, the easier it becomes to tackle it. As a disorder, this generally begins early.
